DETAILED ITINERARY

ARRIVAL

You’ll be picked from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged at an extra cost.

DAY: 1 | TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Leave Arusha with a pick up from your hotel/apartments and drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the center of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight at Ang’ata Tarangire Camp.

DAY: 2 | LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps, and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible birdlife. Manyara has the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world and the lions here are also renowned for their tree climbing. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Fanaka Campsite.

DAY: 3 | SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti shuhudia Lodge.

DAY: 4 | SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Spend in Serengeti, morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at Serengeti shuhudia wildlife camp. Serengeti is easily Tanzania’s most famous national park, and it’s also the largest, at 14,763 square kilometers of protected area that borders Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park It is the Migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November, and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile infested river can hold them back. The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants.

DAY: 5 | NGORONGORO CRATER

Experience Morning game viewing drives then return to the lodge for breakfast then proceed further game drives as you exit the park and drive to Ngorongoro crater via Olduvai Gorge (optional)- Proceed for dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro wildlife Lodge. NB: The Ngorongoro Crater experience offers you bigger and wilder parks full of rewarding game viewing in East Africa. Its a classic Big 5 safari experience in the unique setting of an ancient volcanic caldera. The park is home to over 30 000 wildlife. The crater’s scenery is spectacular, predators are abundant and it’s not unusual to see the Big 5 in a single day. Game viewing activities range from game drives to nearby Lake Manyara and local bird watching to cultural visits and mountain biking. The romantic cliff-top lodges provide the perfect base for a Ngorongoro honeymoon as it also helps maximize your Tanzania safari experience combining seamlessly with the Serengeti, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara.

DAY: 6 | TRANSFER ARUSHA, DEPARTURE

After breakfast, the tour guide will take you 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle for a half-day crater tour, picnic lunch at crater. Explore the crater before ascending back to the Ngorongoro crater realm to exit and drive to Arusha Airport/town where the safari ends.re the safari ends with Hotel or Airport drop-off.
